Why I started
Loopdeloo
Hi, I'm Kym, and I'm so glad you're here. Loopdeloo was born from a simple idea—teaching a great lesson does not require you to be a "perfect" teacher. I learned that from a woman who taught in a way I will never forget. She did not overwhelm her class with doctrine. She did not try to impress the kids, but she did connect with them. Somehow, everyone felt seen and everyone felt safe. And because of that, the class was always engaged. She taught the way the Savior taught. I remember sitting there thinking, "I want to teach like that someday." That woman was my mom, Midge.

My mom could take the simplest object from around the house and turn it into a gospel lesson.
"Her classroom always felt warm and alive, and every child knew they belonged there."
I grew up watching my mom teach in Nursery, Primary, and youth classes. She had a way of making a room feel warm the moment she walked in. She listened when people spoke. She laughed with them. She cried with them. Watching her prepare lessons taught me something I have never forgotten. People do not want to be lectured. They want to be seen. They want to be invited into the conversation. They want to feel like their thoughts matter. That is the difference between teaching about Christ and teaching the way Christ would.
How Loopdeloo came to be
Years of serving in teacher callings
I kept noticing the same thing. So many good people are called to teach teens, but they lack the rapport needed with teenagers. They want the class to feel meaningful, but end up talking the whole time because no one knows how to get the room involved.
Seminaries & Institutes preservice training
One thing became very clear: teenagers either connect with you or disconnect from you depending on the environment you create in the room. When they feel safe and are allowed to be curious, everything changes.
A friend's request changed everything
My friend TaNiel was serving as a Young Women president and struggling to find lessons that connected with teenage girls. I rewrote one of my adult Gospel Doctrine lessons for teen girls — and that first Young Women lesson helped more teachers than I ever expected.
Young Women president in my own ward
I see something that makes this work feel even more meaningful: many of the girls themselves are being asked to teach lessons on Sundays. They deserve tools that help them feel confident too.
"That a teacher walks into class feeling a little more calm and prepared. That a teenager feels safe enough to share what they really think. And that in those moments together, everyone’s testimony of Jesus Christ grows a little stronger.”

The values behind every lesson kit
Every person wants to feel seen
Not lectured. Not talked at. Invited into the conversation. This is the foundation of everything Loopdeloo creates.
Safety unlocks curiosity
When teenagers feel safe, they become curious. When they're curious, they engage. When they engage, testimonies grow.
Confidence comes from preparation
A teacher who walks in with a clear plan can focus on the people in the room instead of scrambling for what to say next.
Simple tools, meaningful moments
You don't need elaborate props or perfect delivery. You need a structure that invites real conversation — and the courage to let it happen.
